Children’s Miracle Network: Working together to save lives

Each year CMN hospitals provide more than $2.5 billion in charity care to those in need of assistance. With the escalation of health care costs, these kids need your help.

“Children and health needs are different,” said Theresa Slater, CHRISTUS Cabrini’s CMN director. “With the funds we raise every year, Cabrini will be able to provide valuable healthcare to our children.

CHRISTUS Cabrini Hospital is one of four hospitals in Louisiana privileged to be a “Children’s Miracle Network Hospital”. As a CMN hospital, CHRISTUS Cabrini goes far beyond treatment, by offering prevention and advocacy programs that address the unique needs of children.

“CHRISTUS Cabrini Hospital works with the community to provide services that meet children’s health, education, safety, and security needs,” says Theresa Slater. “In our 15 school based health centers , thousands of students have benefited from the services provided through CMN each year. Examples include: immunizations, car seats, bicycle helmet safety campaigns, and child abuse prevention programs.

“It is important to remember,,” Slater said. “that all monies raised by CMN stay in central Louisiana for our kids. “
